Four Reindeer - PPA221

I thought this week's sketch at Pals Paper Arts would be the perfect opportunity to break out my new White Christmas set and use the cute reindeer. I've got 3 reindeer here, plus Rudolph with a little bit of red glitter for his nose :) They were so easy to line up since the set is clear photopolymer.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Baked Brown Sugar, Real Red

Paper: Real Red, Whisper White card stock, Trim the Tree DSP stack

Orange Kitty - NAC108 & FMS155

It's rare for me to emboss directly on the card base when I'm making a card, but for some reason I decided to in this sketch to keep it simple. I combined the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches with the color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge. I decided to use the orange to stamp an orange kitty, so the rest of the card fell into place around that.

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP stack

Sweet Little Ballerina Birthday Card - TSSC333

I realized recently that I don't make very many cards for little girls, so for this week's sketch challenge at Techno Stamper, I decided to make something super bright and girly. The cute little ballerina from the set Sweet Stuff paired nicely with the Sweet Taffy DSP to make this super sweet card. It's so pink and sweet it makes my teeth hurt :P

Filigree Thank You - AW25

My card won the top 3 reader's choice and design team choice for the last Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenge! Thanks so much!

I've been feeling a bit tired this week, I think a combination of work and the seasons changing has made me feel a bit blah. Unfortunately, my stamping mojo seems to have taken a bit of a hit too. I'm not sure if it's just because this week's challenge at Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenges was so open (create a Thank You card), or what, but it literally took me an hour to come up with this super simple card. I played with all kinds of papers and stamps before settling on this. I do like this new embossing folder that came out in the new holiday catalog, and it makes a great border for all kinds of cards, so I'm sure I'll be using it lots more!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Salut toi

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Filigree Frame Embossing Folder, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Masculine Wonderful - PP214

This week's challenge at the paper players is to make a masculine birthday card. I just received the new photopolymer set You're Wonderful, so I decided I'd use that for today's card. It's not necessarily a birthday card, but it could definitely be used as one.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: You're Wonderful, Handcarved

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy

Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Star punch (Itty Bitty Punch Pack), glue dots

Better Get Better - CCMC321

My first thought when I saw this week's sketch from Create with Connie and Mary was to use washi, but then I looked at it a bit more and decided to use *some* washi and the Bordering Blooms set. A bit of ribbon and a flower, and I love how it turned out!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Bordering Blooms, A Dozen Thoughts, Flower Shop, Petite Petals

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, Sweet Sadie Washi Tape, Silver ribbon, Rhinestone, Dimensionals

Happy Halloween with Paper Pumpkin - PPA220

When I received my Paper Pumpkin in the mail last week, I was excited to see it was a Halloween themed kit. I like Halloween a lot, but I'm not a Halloween card maker/giver, so I really don't have any Halloween themed stamps. So, when I saw that there were a bunch in the kit, plus some fun stickers and embellishments, I was pretty happy.

I figured I'd use one of the tags for the corner in the sketch challenge this week from Pals Paper Arts. I used some of the black baker's twine from the kit as well as some of the stickers.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: From the Boo-tiful Paper Pumpkin kit (September 2014)

Ink: Tangelo Twist

Paper: Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss card stock

Misc: Chevron embossing folder, Spiderweb Embossing folder (retired), Black Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Beautiful Birthday - FMS154

I made today's card based on the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I just made it horizontal instead of vertical, but otherwise it's the same sketch. I wanted to keep it a bit muted, so I used a bunch of greys and blues with just a couple pops of yellow.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Beautiful Bunch, Hey You

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP Stack

Misc: Fun Flower Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Large Rhinestone (retired), Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker

A Little Kindness - SSC85

I'm once again honored to be a guest designer for September at Sunday Stamps. This time it's for a color challenge to use Gold, Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry. I just got the Kinda Eclectic set, and decided to use that for today's card. This set wasn't on my must have list when it first came out, but after seeing lots of creations with it on Pinterest, it got added to my list. I love the leaves stamp, and figured it'd be gorgeous in Garden Green ink.

I was going to do a triple layer card, but then I decided to change that a bit and use ovals for the first layers. I love how it turned out. There are lots of elements of threes in this card: 3 purple layers, 3 butterflies, 3 bands of gold ribbon, 3 sequins. Guess I like threes!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Kinda Eclectic

Ink: Versamark, Garden Green, Rich Razzleberry

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Elegant Butterfly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, Oval Framelits, Gold 1/8" ribbon, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Pearls, Gold Sequins

A Fun Baby Card - TSSC332

When I first saw this week's sketch for Techno Stamper, I thought for sure I'd be making a Christmas card. But then I took a look at my stamps, and decided to make a baby card instead. After a bunch of changes, this is what I ended up with. I love the little duckie stamp so much, I find him super adorable.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Something for Baby, A Dozen Thoughts

Ink: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Hello Honey

Paper: Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White card stock, Lullaby DSP

My card from last week was awarded the Top Nacho award. Thanks so much! It's always nice to be recognized!

Wow, this week's challenge at Nacho Average Challenges is a little... umm... challenging... :) I finally decided to use the Endless Birthday Wishes set for the sentiments, but I couldn't resist adding a bit more to the card, it just seemed too naked!

Ink: Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry

Gold Wedding Card - FabFri50

I had planned to make a 50th Anniversary card for this week's color challenge at Fab Friday, but once I started playing with this vellum with the hearts on it, I thought it'd make a great wedding card. I picked up this Mr & Mrs stamp right before it retired, but I like it so I figured I'd use it for this card anyway. It ended up looking nice and rich with the gold embossing and the gold ribbon to match the vellum.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Mr. & Mrs.

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Whisper White card stock, Gold Foil Paper, Gold Fancy Designer Vellum

Misc: Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Gold 1/8" Ribbon, Dimensionals

Rich Fall Colors - PP213

Wow, 2 cards in a week using Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke, they're kinda starting to grow on me! ;) This week's color challenge at the paper players is another autumn based set. I never would have put these colors together, but they do look pretty awesome together. I pulled out the Bloom with Hope set for this one, and I like the flowers in Cajun Craze a lot. The Blackberry Bliss gives the whole thing a very rich look. Since the background was stamped, I decided to keep the rest of the card pretty simple.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Bloom with Hope

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Baked Brown Sugar, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Regals Candy Dots, Sponge Dauber, Decorative Label Punch, Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals

Blue and Green Birthday - CCMC320

Every so often I like to make a random abstract background for a card. I thought the colors for this week's challenge at Create with Connie and Mary would make a nice one. I loved how it turned out so much that I didn't want to cover it up too much, so I added just a bit of baker's twine and a little sentiment to finish it off.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Work of Art, Label Love

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Artisan Label punch, Silver baker's twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals
