Another Card for SSC81

Here's the second card I made for the Sunday Stamps color challenge, since I already had all the stuff out I decided to make 2 cards. These colors remind me of the cherry chip birthday cake I always wanted when I was a kid. A little too sweet for me, lol.

Pink For You - SSC81 #1

Today's card is one I did for the color challenge at Sunday Stamps. I actually made 2 different cards, so I'll be sharing the other one later this week. I love the Large Polka Dot embossing folder, it makes a nice bold background.

For the sentiment and butterflies, I used Strawberry Slush ink, but I stamped it off first on some scrap paper before stamping onto my Very Vanilla card stock to tone it down a bit.

Single Flower Patch Bloom - CCMC313

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Create With Connie and Mary. I finally pulled out my Flower Patch set to make this card. Every time I'd looked at it before, I'd put it away since there were too many layers possible, and I was usually feeling lazy, lol. Anyway, since there was really only the need to make one flower I decided to give it a try. It was pretty fun, so I'm sure I'll be using it again soon. I was trying to get a more rustic look with the wood background, but I think it ended up too bright. Oh well... :)

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Hardwood, Flower Patch

Ink: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush

Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake, Whisper White card stock, All Abloom DSP stack

Summer Birthday Fun - PPA213

Today's card was made for the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts, as well as for a Facebook group challenge to make a card that represents summer. For us, summer is all about football, as the boys practice and play all summer long. I made the card in their team colors (Packers), so this'll probably go to one of their teammates at some point!

Then while I had the stamps out, I figured I might as well make a soccer one as well, so I made a pink and purple girly soccer card.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Simply Sports, Great Sport (retired), Boys Will Be Boys, Petite Pairs

Ink: Garden Green, Baked Brown Sugar; Strawberry Slush, Blackberry Bliss, Memento Tuxedo Black

Robot Birthday Wishes - TSSC324

Funny, when I ordered this set, I didn't think that the robot would be the first stamp I'd ink up. I got it for the lego stamp, thinking that it'd be useful for kid cards, but then when I started my card for this week's sketch challenge at Techno Stamper, I decided this cute little bot was the way to go!

Ink: Smoky Slate, Wild Wasabi

Paper: Wild Wasabi, Smoky Slate, Mariba Mist, Whisper White card stock

5 Months til Christmas! - NAC99

I was going to use this card yesterday and do a Throwback Thursday card, since there are a few retired items in here, but them I realized that today would be the 25th, and therefore 5 months until Christmas, so I kept it for today. I really liked this sketch from Nacho Average Challenge this week, it was definitely different. The sketch inspired me to use this ribbon, which inspired the rest of the theme for the card :) I still love this retired Dasher reindeer stamp, and now that I can color the rhinestones with Blendabilities, he can have a bright, shiny red nose! :)

Ink: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler

PaperCrumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Season of Style DSP stack (retired)

You're in my Thoughts

For today's card for the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, I used some of the gorgeous new Designer Series Paper called Flowerpot. For the month of August, any of the DSP is buy 3, get 1 free, which is an awesome deal! I love how colorful this paper is, I was able to make almost the whole card without any stamping at all!

Paper: Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Whisper White card stock; Flowerpot DSP

Monochromatic Butterfly - SSC80 & PP205

I can't remember the last time I made a card that didn't have any white in it, but here it is. I used the sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps and the challenge of "Clean, Simple & Monochromatic" From The Paper Players for today's card. It's a bit hard to tell, but the butterfly is embossed in Pool Party, and the Candy Dots and lighter frame are all Pool Party as well.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Swallowtail, Papillon Potpourri (inside)

Ink: Versamark, Island Indigo (inside)

Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party card stock

Misc: Pool Party Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Pool Party Candy Dots

Baby Laundry - PPA212

Today's card is my take on this week's sketch at Pals Paper Arts. I took a few liberties with the sketch, but it's what popped into my mind when I saw the sketch. I've been meaning to use these little clothespins on something, so this seemed like the perfect excuse.

I stamped the little onesies in Hello Honey and Crisp Cantaloupe, but first I stamped them off onto a scrap of paper, so they wouldn't be as dark. Then I stamped the little flower again on top in the same color.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Something for Baby, A Dozen Thoughts

Ink: Hello Honey, Crisp Cantaloupe

PaperHello Honey, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White card stock; Lullaby DSP

Misc: Crisp Cantaloupe Baker's Twine, Gold Mini Clothespins, Pearls, Baby's First Framelits, Dimensionals

Framed Yellow Bird - CCMC312

OK, so I'm no bird expert, and I assume there's no bird that really looks like this, but I wanted to use the new Beauty of the Season today, but didn't want to make a Christmas card just yet since the weather here in Montreal is the perfect summer weather. Instead, I decided to try to use it for this week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary, and this is what I came up with...

I used a blender pen to color the bird in Hello Honey, and then my Hello Honey Stampin' Write marker to color the beak and legs a bit darker.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Beauty of the Season

Ink: Black Versamark, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP stack

Misc: Blender Pen, Labels Collection framelits, Sahara Sand Candy Dots (neutrals), Hello Honey Stampin' Write Marker, Blackberry Bliss ribbon

Hello Love

I used another new set for today's card that I made for this week's sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. The greeting comes from a brand new set full of awesome greetings called Good Greetings. It's not actually available yet, but you're going to hear more about it soon!

The background is stamped with the new background stamp I Love Lace. I love the sweet pattern it makes.

I made the scalloped line in the sketch a bit differently by using the little flowers instead. I think it still comes across like in the sketch :)

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Good Greetings, I Love Lace, Petite Petals

Ink: Sahara Sand, Lost Lagoon

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Gold baker's twine, Petite Petals punch, Decorative Label punch, Large Oval punch, Gold Sequins, Pearls, dimensionals, Multi-purpose glue

Sparkly Sprinkles - TSSC323

I just finally got my photopolymer set Endless Birthday Wishes and I'm in love! So much fun! I decided to use it to make this week's sketch challenge at Techno Stamper.

I wanted to make something fun and girly, so I went with a pink and black combo, with just a touch of bling!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Endless Birthday Wishes

Ink: Strawberry Slush, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: 1 3/4" circle punch, Starburst Framelits, In Color sequins, glue dots, dimensionals, rhinestones

I finished off the inside by punching a few stars in the corner with the star punch from the Itty Bitty punch pack so the pink could show through and carry the star theme inside.

Wisteria Flower - PP204

Here's a card I did for the color challenge at the paper players this week. I tried to keep it simple since there were so many colors involved. I love these new colors so much, and Blackberry Bliss and Wisteria Wonder are so perfect together.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Flower Shop, Petite Petals, Bloom with Hope

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Pansy punch, Petite Petals punch, Blackberry Bliss ribbon, rhinestones, dimensionals

Burlap & Blue Birdies - FabFri45

And I used the burlap ribbon again! It seemed like the right width for the sketch at Fab Friday. It's hard to tell in the pic, but all the blues are the same (Lost Lagoon), the camera really isn't doing it justice.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla card stock

Misc: Labels Framelits, Baked Brown Sugar & Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write markers, Burlap ribbon, Lost Lagoon ribbon, Woodgrain embossing folder, gold sequins, pearls, sticky strip, dimensionals, glue dots, sponge daubers

Rustic Wedding Card - CCMC311

I finally used the burlap ribbon on a card!! I wanted to make a rustic country type wedding card, and it worked out well with the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary this week.

The Flowering Flourishes set goes well with this stamp from Label Love. I used the Naturals White cardstock so it wasn't too bright of a card to contrast with the browns.

I stamped the flower from Flowering Flourishes again on the inside to tie it all together:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Flowering Flourishes, Label Love

Ink: Sahara Sand, Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Naturals White cardstock

Misc: Artisan Label Punch, Burlap Ribbon, 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, In Color Sequins, Pearls, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Sponge Dauber
